From November 10th to the 12th, 2011 the 36th edition of the Tenco Prize will take place. Such singer songwriter review is dedicated to Luigi Tenco, who tragically passed away in Sanremo during the 1967 Italian Music Festival.
The 2011 edition will pay a particular tribute to Amilcare Rambaldi, founder of the prize, on the centenary from his birth.
For the current edition the prestigious Tenco prizes have been awarded to Luciano Ligabue, to the singer songwriter Jaromìr Nohavica and to the cultural operator Mauro Pagani.
All three artists will perform on the stage of the Ariston Theatre during the evening of Saturday, November 12th.
Other performing artists include Vinicio Capossela with “Marinai, profeti e balene” (Mariners, prophets and whales), Patrizia Lacquidara and Hotel Rif with “Il canto dell’anguana” (The chant of the anguana), Cristiano Angelini with “L’ombra della mosca” (The fly’s shadow) and Roberta Alloisio with “Janua”.
All the winners of the Tenco Plates are assigned by a careful and selected jury of music journalists.
