The 47th Flower Battle that will take place in Ventimiglia on June 20th and 21st 2009 in Ventimiglia will be full of new things.
The chosen theme for the 2009 edition is “All the world is… Music!” and the new Artistic Director Pepimorgia has chosen to give birth to an evening dedicated to young people on Saturday, June 20th to link with the International Music Festival that is being celebrated in all Europe during those days.
The Evening of Flowers will mostly be dedicated to the young and to music bands while at the same time there will be the Night Parade and at midnight the “White Night of Music” will begin. It’s a succession of events made in a way to increase the city’s main event to an international level.
On Saturday Night there will also be a great name in music that will attract to himself all the attention and a great guest will be appearing on Sunday afternoon.
The day of Sunday will see the classical Flower Battle of the afternoon with the parade through the streets of the city Center and in the morning many bands will play around the city.
There will be many collateral events:
Sunday, May 31st “Sport Festival”, Sunday, June 14th the day will be dedicated to local products and ancient activities. During the week of the Battle there will be dancing evenings, band concerts and theatre performances. On June 22nd there will be the Battle Lottery, the prize ceremony of the shop windows decorated with flowers and the decorated historical district. In the end, on July 24th the Children’s battle with the construction of two wagons.
