The architecture is of the Genovese baroque style. Of particular note are the beautiful facades of the balconies and the ornate garlands of flowers which decorate the pillars and supports. On the ground floor you will find an antique pharmacy which dates back to 1738. The monumental staircase leads to the show rooms. (Design and furnishings from the 17th and 18th centuries) You absolutely must not miss the famous “Promenade des Anglais” and “Corso Saleya” where you can have a delightful and relaxing browse among the chicest boutiques and bistros of the area. Lunch break will be in a typical restaurant for “un dejeuner gourmand” : the local delicacies will put a little bit of sunshine onto your plate with their delicate perfumes and refined flavours. All of this will be accompanied by a typical local wine, “le Bellet”.

In the afternoon you will attend the incredibly colourful spectacle that is the “Battle of the Flowers”. This exciting event is made up of twenty –odd carts decorated with fresh flowers. The occupants of the carts, all dressed in specially created colourful costumes, launch millions of flower petals, amongst which are mimosa, the symbol of Nice. All of this is accompanied by the smiles of the participants.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Awaiting you in the afternoon are the delights of the “Festival of the Orchids”. Here you will be able to marvel at the beauty of this rare and precious jewel with its subtle colours. You will be able to round off your afternoon with a visit to the artisan workshop.
