A small hall of taste takes place every year in the centre of San Bartolomeo al Mare, a rare occasion to explore high quality food productions which are dedicated to the national and international Slow Food, about the biodiversity.
This high class cultural and gastronomic event takes place from Feb 2nd to Feb 4th, in concomitance with the Candelora Fair ( which has been running for more than a century in the small town ).
From Fri. 2nd to Sun. 4th Feb., in the Piazza delle Magnolie, there will be an exhibition about quality food production, including Riso Basmati (India), Vanilla (Madagascar), Cardamomo (Guatemala), Pepper (Malesia); the traditional Fiera della Madonna della Rovere will take place on the same days on streets around the Sanctuary
On Fri. 2nd Feb., at 8.45pm, the Centro Sociale Incontro will host a debate about the book “Gola mater amatissima” (nutrition and culinary art from the Post-classic era to the Medieval ) by Ida Li Vigni and Paolo Aldo Rossi. Again, the Laboratori del gusto will happen on Sat. 3rd Feb. in Piazza delle Magnolie, an exhibition about cheese, bread and other products of the Slow Food. On Sun 4th Feb., a lunch with traditional cusine of the Vallate Cuneesi, hosted by Charlie and Marcella Zuchuat of the eating house Società di Terzuolo.
