The Sanremo classic rally is now firmly established as one of the most important events in the calendar for exponents of long distance rallying of classic vehicles. The stages unwind up, down and along the roads of the “Alpi maritime”, from Sanremo to Garfagnana and on throughout the whole of Tuscany- Volterra, Montalcino, Pienza, Arezzo, San Gimignano…(four daylight stages Sanremo – Castelvecchio Pascoli, Castelvecchio Pascoli – Arezzo, Arezzo – Montecatini, Montecatini – Sanremo and one night stage in the area around Imperia). The length of the rally course is 1,750 kilometers through Liguria and Tuscany, and it also includes 18 control tests, the levels of which are pre-established.
Along the full length of the rally route, in each successive zone, there will be gastronomic delights to be sampled in the suggestive locales of Liguria and Tuscany, all of which are replete with history and the treasures of nature. In this manner the thrill of driving a “dream car” can be savoured to the maximum.
Those wishing to participate in the event are invited to send completed entry forms to Sanremorally by Thursday 20th April 2006. The application should also include the entry fee of 2,900 euros and a photograph of the motor car.
