Great appointments during Ventimiglia’s summer to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of \u201cMedieval August\u201d, one of the most important events of the border city. This year dedicated to the Ventimiglia’s Earls and their descendants.<\/p>\n
Thursday 3rd of August, in the historic centre h: 09.00 p.m. there will be the Middlesummer night \u201cI conti di Ventimiglia\u201d, a reevocation in medieval dresses, in Piazza delle Erbe by the Black Pirate’s Inn chance of tasting Ventimiglia’s tipical disches. (3 \/ 4 \/ 5 August).<\/p>\n
Friday 4th August at 09.00 p.m., in the historic centre the Perseidi’s night will start, 2nd evening of historic reevocation and ambience.<\/p>\n
Saturday 5th August from 09.15 p.m. through the ways of the higher part of the city a procession will move with the cooperation of the Italian Historic Games Federation; and there will be the ceremony of the church – candle’s offer in the Cathedral. From 10.30 p.m. a swordeaters show.<\/p>\n
Sunday 6th August at 6.00 p.m. there will be the classic \u201cRegata dei Sestieri\u201d, the competition between the Sestrieri citizens with ligurian \u201cgozzi\u201d, for the \u201cPalio’s\u201dassignment .<\/p>\n
Tuesday 8th August at 09.30 p.m. in Piazza della Libert\u00e0, Poliphonic Chorus Concert \u201cCity of Ventimiglia\u201d directed by Romano Pini.
\nWednsday 9th August at 09.00 p.m. historic procession through the ways of the lower part of the city and awarding and delivery of \u201cVentimiglia’s Palio\u201d.<\/p>\n
At 10.30 p.m. the \u201cCompagnia dei Folli\u201d presents the medieval show \u201cIl Cavaliere errante\u201d.<\/p>\n
Thursday 10th August from 09.15 p.m. in Piazza della Libert\u00e0 exhibition of Ventimiglia’s flag – wavers and following an antique crossbow tourney and exhibition of rapacious flying.<\/p>\n
Saturday 26th August at 11.00 a.m. San Secondo’s celebration with Mass in the Cathedral and delivery of \u201cSan Segundin d’Argentu\u201d to Ventimiglia’s citizen of the year. At 2.30 p.m. \u201csagra della castagnola\u201d tipical ventimiglia’s cake.<\/p>\n
